ACCUS serves its member clubs as the liaison between the FIA and the American motorsports community, providing members with access to the full complement of FIA services such as FIA Licenses, Homologations, Circuit Inspections and Historical Papers. ACCUS also represent member clubs in the National Motorsports Coalition, representing motorsports in the governmental ranks in Washington DC.
Since its establishment, ACCUS has played a pivotal role in the development of motorsports in the United States, working closely with its member clubs to promote safe, fair, and exciting competition.
As the official ASN (National Sporting Authority) recognized by the FIA, ACCUS represents USA motorsports and member Club interests in international motorsport discussions, participating in the FIA World Council, which provides governance to FIA programs and series.

ACCUS is responsible for issuing FIA licenses to qualified competitors and officials in the United States. These licenses are required for participation in FIA-sanctioned events worldwide.

ACCUS facilitates the FIA homologation process for racing vehicles and safety equipment in the United States, ensuring compliance with FIA regulations.

Comprehensive documentation and record-keeping of all homologated vehicles and equipment
The FIA Historic Technical Passport (HTP) is a document required for historic vehicles participating in international historic competitions. ACCUS, as the ASN for the United States, facilitates the issuing of HTPs to eligible historic racing cars for the FIA in the U.S.

Detailed photographs of the vehicle from specific angles, including chassis number and special features
Standard processing time can take several weeks for completion after submitting an application. Please allow time for a physical car inspection and validation with the FIA
USRM is the sporting authority for FIA World Championship events held in the USA, as delegated by the ACCUS member clubs. The USRM role is to provide local staffing to support the FIA in the organization of each FIA World Championship event in the USA.
Assists the FIA in assuring latest safety protocols and technical regulations at all FIA World Championship events in the USA
Supporting race operations staff and marshals through recruitment, education and training programs
Assists the FIA World Championship event operations across planning, logistics, and execution, coordinating with local promoters
