AUTOMOBILE COMPETITION COMMITTEE FOR THE UNITED STATES, FIA, INC.

The Automobile Competition Committee for the United States (ACCUS) is the National Sporting Authority (ASN) of the Federation Internationale de l'Autombile (FIA) for the United States.

ACCUS is comprised of the six major motorsports sanctioning organizations ("member clubs"): IMSA, INDYCAR, NASCAR, NHRA, SCCA and USAC.

Founded in 1959, today ACCUS has offices in Daytona Beach, Florida and Indianapolis, Indiana.

It's activities include:

Liaison on behalf of the ACCUS member clubs with other National Sporting Authorities and with the FIA
Listings on the FIA international calendar
Issuance of FIA International Driver & Entrant Licenses
Authorizations for foreign participation
FIA Homologations
Submittal of FIA historic technical passport papers
Certification and record keeping for U.S. and International Land Speed records
And a variety of other domestic and international functions

The National Motorsports Council (NMC) is one example of a domestic function of ACCUS. NMC is dedicated to advocating on behalf of the motorsports industry's interests so that U.S. motorsports, its supporters and fans receive fair and favorable treatment.
